Explanation of Solution

Due to the Ultraviolet radiation generated by the sunlight, the mountain climber wears sunglasses and also uses sunblock when the temperature is below the freezing point.

At the higher altitudes, the Ultraviolet radiation intensity increases very fast as compared to the lower altitudes. The high intensity of Ultraviolet radiation rays causes sunburn and damages the eyes. So the sunglass is very important to protect the eyes from the sunlight, which comes directly from the reflection due to ice sheets.
