Question
Chapter 33, Problem 7P
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The effect of acetylation and methylation of lysine residue on the charge of histone should be determined.
Concept introduction:
Histones are the proteins that pack and order the DNA strands into nucleosomes. These proteins are alkaline in nature and are found in eukaryotic cells. They are the main proteins found in the chromatin, and around this protein DNA strands are bound. They also play an important role in the gene regulation process.

Leaderless. The MRNA for the A repressor begins with 5'-AUG-3',
5'-AUG-3', which encodes the methionine residue that begins the
protein. What is unusual about this beginning? Would it cause the
MRNA to translate efficiently or not?
Translation. Write the anti-codon sequence of the MRNA transcript. Translate the
MRNA transcript into peptide sequence using both the 3 letter abbreviation and 1 letter
