The hormones are the signaling molecules which are produced by cells present in the glands. The chemical structure of hormones is very diverse and can be classified into three classes, namely-peptide hormones, an amino acid derived from hormones and steroids.

Introduction:
On the basis of the attachment of the hormones to the receptors, the cellular events taking place are different. The hormones which are insoluble in lipids have different cellular events and the hormones which are soluble in lipids have different cellular events.
