A fungusis a group of eukaryotic organism that includes yeasts, molds,and mushrooms. A fungus consists of a structure called mycelium, which is a mass of threadlike structures called hyphae. Mycelium is the vegetative structure of fungi. A single spore germinates into mycelium which reproduces asexually. Fungi also reproduce through sexual reproduction.
