The ventilation in birds is considered more efficient than ventilation in humans and other mammals.
Introduction:
All the organisms breathe in oxygen and release carbon dioxide. Ventilation is the process of circulation of air between enclosed system (lungs) and environment through inhalation (breathing air in) and exhalation (breathing air out). This exchange of gases occurs at the respiratory surface. In humans, the exchange of gases occurs at the surface of alveoli. However, in birds, all the respiratory organs are involved in the gaseous exchange.
