Difference among systematic, pulmocutaneous, and pulmonary circuits.

Introduction:

Circulatory system includes a circuit of several blood vessels that are responsible for carrying blood and oxygen to different parts of the body. This circulation takes place with the help of three different types of circuits, namely, systematic, pulmocutaneous, and pulmonary depending upon the type of organism.

Explanation

The difference between systematic, pulmocutaneous and pulmonary circuits is given below:

Systematic circuit Pulmocutaneous circuit Pulmonary circuit
In this kind of circuit, the pure blood is carried from the heart to the body and impure blood from body to heart. Circulation in this type of circuit is responsible for directing blood to lungs and skin from the heart. Circulation of impure blood takes place in this type of circuit from the heart to lungs and pure blood returns back to the heart.
The systematic circuit is composed of pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein. The pulmonary artery carries oxygenated blood from the heart towards the lungs. Pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs towards the heart. The pulmocutaneous circuit is composed of arteries known as conus arteriosus that splits into the right or left truncus arteriosus...
