Introduction: Nucleus is a cell organelle present in eukaryotes which is enclosed within a nuclear membrane. The genetic material is also contained within the nucleus. The nuclear membrane enclosing the nucleus is present in eukaryotes, whereas it is absent in prokaryotes. Regions of contact between inner and outer nuclear membranes form nuclear pores.
