Both gymnosperm and angiosperm bear seed ,then why are they classified seperatedly?
items in bullet are options for the question above it  When gymnosperms arose during the late Carboniferous era, around 300 million years ago, they were the first true seed-bearing plants. The word comes from gymno-, meaning "naked," and -wsperm, which refers to "seeds" not actual sperm. Gymnosperms have "naked seeds," because they do not encase their seeds in fruits as do angiosperms.   1. Gymnosperms were also the first plants to develop pollen.
