Explanation of Solution

Exotic pets do not survive into a local ecosystem. They have to compete for food with other animals. They are introduced species. Non local species that are either nonintentionally or intentionally transported to a new habitat are called introduced species. These species are a threat to biodiversity in their native habitats. Predators, parasites, and completion between these species are introduced into a new area; these controlling factors are not in place. Introduced species may reproduce in large numbers as there will be a lack of predation for this species and may act invasive species, where they are newly introduced.

Conclusion

Thus, releasing exotic pets into a local ecosystem is not a good idea. They will compete with the native species for habitat and food, prey on them, or may introduce diseases that not generally found in that area.
