Parameter is the measure of the original population. Here, the proportion of eggs that has been shipped is the parameter which is 0.001 in this case.

Statistic is the measure of the sample. Here, the proportion of eggs in the sample that has been shipped is the parameter which 9/200 = 0.045 in this case
