Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The skull consists of several protruding cavities among them, the largest is the cranial cavity whilst others are the orbits, nasal cavity, oral cavity, middle and inner-ear cavities and paranasal sinuses. The paranasal sinuses are a group of four air-filled cavities that surrounds the nasal cavity, lined by a mucous membrane, and are known as the frontal, ethmoid, sphenoid and maxillary sinuses. These cavities lighten the anterior portion of the skull and act as chambers which adds resonance to the voice.
