- If a person has type AB blood and their father has type B blood, what could the genotype(s) of the mother be? (Select all that are correct) IA IA OIAI IB IB IB i IA IB Oiiarrow_forwardA couple decide to have a child. They require and select a suitable sperm donor who they understand to be blood group AB and rhesus +ve. The carrier of the baby is blood group A and rhesus –ve. However, when the baby is born, they discover that the baby’s blood group is O rhesus +ve. Worried that there has been a mistake they ask for a DNA test, which confirms the sperm used was indeed that of the donor. Further DNA analysis of the carrier of the baby shows that she has isoagglutinogen alleles IA iO, while the baby is actually IB and IO.
