The area has a demand requirement of 30 MLD and the minimum pressure head requirement is 20 m-head. The pipe which will serve the area is 500 mm with C-value of 90 and length of 3000 m. Determine the following: a) total head loss along the pipe in meter, b) the head of pump required in meter, and c) the power required by the pump with an efficiency of 80% in kilowatt. Note: Theaverage water surface level of the reservoir which supports the pumping station is 5 m.
