Chapter 8, Problem 9CT
Summary Introduction

To answer:

How newly synthesized cDNA probe is not complementary to the yeast m-RNA sequence.

Introduction:

The recombinant DNA technology involves isolation of genetic materials (DNA) from donor organisms (human, plant, or microorganism) and inserts them into recipient organisms after genetic manipulation. The main tools involved in the techniques are nucleic acids, restriction enzymes, ligase, vectors, reverse transcriptase, and mutagens. This technology used to introduce genetically modified organism (GMO). Reverse transcription is one of the important techniques involved in recombinant DNA technology. It is used to produce complementary DNA or cDNA from the m-RNA molecule. Also, it involved determining the amount of a specific m-RNA molecule present in the cell using real-time PCR. Thereby, this technique is used to predict the expression level of particular genes.
