Introduction:

The process in which two small nuclei of the radioactive metal combined and form a large nucleus is known as nuclear fusion. The huge amount of energy is released during this process.

During the nuclear fusion process, huge amount of energy is released. Thermal energy in sun a good example of nuclear fusion process.

The nuclear fission reaction of the deuterium- deuterium nuclei is given as,

The problems associated with using nuclear fusion reactions as an energy source are listed below.

• The radioactive waste during the reaction can harm to humans.
• High temperature is required for the nuclear fusion reaction.
• The energy produced can be used once because its non-renewable source of energy.
