The experiment had two variables, glaze form and temperature, and 4 levels of the glaze form and 3 levels of temperature, resulting in 12 treatments.

The function of randomization is that the treatment group does not have any knowledge about the random allocation. Apparent pottery age is the response component.

The experiment assumes that the evaluator is neutral and the artisan assumes that the optimal glaze and temperature combination is the optimal.
