Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

Sound is a form of energy and has various applications in today’s era. There are several technologies where sound is used. For instance, the three different ways in which people use sound is to locate objects under water, to diagnose medical problems and to treat ailments.

People use ultrasound echoes to detect objects underwater. People use the principles of echolocation to locate objects underwater. Scientists have developed instruments that use sound waves to locate objects underwater. These instruments are known as Sonar and it stands for sound navigation and ranging.

People use ultrasound to capture or scan images inside body and helps in locating any internal organ problems. Doppler ultrasound can detect the movement of fluids through the body and is used to examine blood flow.

Sound can also help in treating ailments like cancer. Using high intensity ultrasound doctors can destroy cancer cells in patients.

Conclusion:

Thus, the three different ways of using sound by people are explained.
