Explanation of Solution

In biology, an environment can be defined as a complex of chemical factors, physical factors, biotic factors, and other natural forces that influence a biological community or an organism. The changes that occur in the environment are sensed by living things and all the organisms respond to the changes in their environment. The environmental conditions determine the type of living organisms present in it as well as regulates the process of adaptation for better survival.

For example, fishes live in water and they are adapted to the condition where water is sufficient.Therefore, they have fins and streamlined body for swimming. Similarly, cactus, which is a desert plant is adapted to the conditions of low water. Hence, they do not have broad leaves which reduces water loss through transpiration.
