Introduction: DNA and RNA are both nucleic acids that are found in a living organism. DNA stands for “Deoxyribonucleic acid” and RNA is for “Ribonucleic acid”. A nucleic acid is a polymeric unit found in organisms. It is made up of monomeric units called a nucleotide. A nucleotide contains three constituents that are “pentose sugar (deoxyribose or ribose), nitrogenous bases and a phosphate group”.
