Concept explainers
Interpretation:
For given Lewis acid-base reaction, electron-dot structure for product and reactant has to be drawn and use the curved arrow notation to represent lone pair of electrons from Lewis acid to Lewis base.
Concept Introduction:
Lewis acid and base:
In Lewis acid-base reactions, the base donates pair of electron to an acid to forms covalent bond.
Electron-dot structure:
This is only way to show the sharing of electrons between atom in polar covalent bonds or covalent bond. This is often called Lewis structure. This structure denotes valence electrons of an atom by dots and also it shows the way of valence electron distributed within a molecule.

Calculate the hydronium-ion concentration in 0.100 M H2SO4, accounting for the ionization of both protons.arrow_forwardIn each of the following acid-base reactions, identify the Brnsted acid and base on the left and their conjugate partners on the right.
