The reason why the blisters of positive tuberculin reactions resemble the blisters of poison ivy.
Introduction:
In skin test tuberculin is used for the detection of tuberculosis by injecting tuberculin in skin. Inflammation develops in the skin, in response to tuberculin. Tuberculin is a protein solution, isolated from bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This test is also known as Mantoux test.
Poison ivy is a plant that contains shiny, red, and its configuration contains three-leaf. It produces a resin which causes an allergic reaction and leads to develop itching, redness, and blisters on the skin.
