Summary Introduction

To review:

The events facilitated by RecA(Recombination Protein A) protein.

Introduction:

The recombination of genes where there is an exchange of nucleotide sequences between two identical or similar DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) molecules is called homologous recombination. The two scientists William Bateson and Reginald Punnett in 1900s proposed a theory that is an exception to the principle of inheritance given by Gregor Mendel in the 1860s. According to Bateson and Punnett, in the process of inheritance, there are certain genes that are linked and are inherited together at the time of inheritance of traits.
