Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The idea of the category called domain was introduced by an American biologist Carl Woese. Domains has been classified based on the information in the sequence of genes and there are three domains as Bacteria, Archaea and Eukarya. Each species has been categorized into progressively smaller hierarchical groups according to modern taxonomy and each group at any level is called a taxon. Classifying millions of species into different taxonomic groups makes it easier to study the relationship among species.
