Introduction:
Acne or acnevulgaris is a bacterial skin disease that can be caused by Gram-negative bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes). It is a most common form of the disease, which begins at puberty stage and is associated with sex hormones (estrogen). These bacteriagrow in anaerobic conditions around the hair follicle of humans and produce lipases.
This disease can clog the hair follicles cell by oils from the skin, andskin dead cells, which results inblocking of flow of sebum to the skin surfaces. Acne can be resolved without medications but its medications reduce the length of infections by inhibitingthe growth of P. acnes.
