Introduction:
The cholesterol and triglycerides are unable to circulate in the blood freely as these molecules are insoluble in water. The transport of these molecules is carried by their bounded form with the small lipid-protein complexes known as lipoproteins. On the basis of their density these are divided into three types: very low density lipoproteins (VLDLs), low-density lipoproteins (LDLs), and high-density lipoproteins (HDLs).
