Chapter 25, Problem 27RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The differences between the sperm and spermatocyte, epididymis and duct of epididymis, ovarian ligament and suspensory ligament of the ovary, vulva and vestibule, spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis.
Introduction:
The reproductive system includes the sex organs that are essential for sexual reproduction. The primary reproductive organs are known as gonads that are responsible for producing gametes, such as egg (ovum) by the ovaries and sperm by the testes. Both male and female gametes are haploid in nature, while the rest of the body is diploid in nature. The egg and sperm fertilize to produce a diploid zygote.
