Poly(propylene) oxide and poly(ethylene) oxide are similar in polymer chain structure but only differ in methyl group attachment in the polypropylene oxide. Therefore monomer used to synthesize this can be similar to monomer ethylene epoxide but with a methyl group attached to one of the carbon.
