Introduction:
Listeriosis, a foodborne disease is caused by Listeria monocytogenes(L. monocytogenes). This disease is generally asymptomaticin healthy individuals. However, its symptoms are muscles aches, fever, fatigue, anddiarrhea. It causes the onset of meningitis. Ingested L. monocytogenes can penetrate into the mucosal intestinal linings and get penetrated into the bloodstream and cause meningitis. This disease can be caused by food contaminated with L. monocytogenes.
