The way to get a large DC signal from a low current AC signal using a diode and a transistor.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A diode is a semiconductor device which allows current to pass through in only one direction. To the other direction, the diode offers infinite resistance and hence no current passes through it. A transistor is a semiconductor device used as an amplifier or a switch.
A diode can be used convert an AC signal to DC signal as it allows only one half of an AC sine wave to pass. Then, this DC signal can be passed through a PNP transistor which amplifies the signal to higher value.
Conclusion:
A diode can be used convert an AC signal to DC signal and then this DC signal can be passed through a PNP transistor.
