Summary Introduction
Introduction:
All the eukaryotic cells in an organism divide through a series of certain phases, which is called cell cycle. These cell phases are G (gap), S (synthesis), and M (mitosis). There are two gap phases in the cell cycle, called G1 and G2. The word gap signifies a pause or gap between the synthesis phase and mitosis. In a dividing cell, G1, S and G2 phase is called an interphase in which the cell prepares itself for dividing.
