Summary Introduction
The major cells of the adaptive immune system are lymphocytes that divided into innate lymphoid cells, B cells, and T cells. A type of lymphocyte that plays an essential role in the immune system and matures in the thymus gland is called T cell. It can be distinguished from another kind of lymphocytes through the presence of T cell receptor on the surface of the cell.
