Chapter 33.3, Problem 2.2RIA
Summary Introduction
Cytokines are the small glycoproteins released by the cells of the immune system that acts as an intercellular mediator or signaling molecule. They are produced by a huge number of different cells. They have a broad range of action on the eukaryotic cells thereby resulting in a variety of cellular responses. The cytokines are required for the regulation of innate as well as the adaptive immune responses.
