Interpretation: Eight constitutional isomers with molecular formula C5H11Cl has to be drawn and the stereogenic center if any in these isomers has to be located.
Concept introduction: Isomers are the compounds having same molecular formula but different structures. Constitutional isomers are the isomers have different connectivity of atoms. A carbon atom which is substituted tetrahedrally such that all the four substituents are different is known as a stereogenic center.
