Chapter 52.1, Problem 1R
Summary Introduction

To review:

The comparison of fixed action patterns and behaviors pertaining to Pavlovian or operant conditioning.

Introduction:

A stimulus can initiate a response, which can be conditioned or unconditioned reflex. When a dog responds to food based on smell, color, or taste, it is called an unconditioned reflex where the body reacts by secreting saliva. When the food is introduced along with sound or after a sound, the response is called as a conditioned reflex. The operant conditioning is a stimulus, which provides a reward for the action performed by the animal and it is conditioned on its own environment.
