Concept explainers
To explain: The genetically tagging protein with epitopes such a commonly used technique since an epitope tag has the potential to interfere with the function of the protein instead of hybridoma technology.
Concept introduction:
Epitope tagging is the widely utilized technique in the characterization of newly discovered proteins. Epitope tagging is the technique of genetic engineering in which a known epitope is combined to a recombinant protein. Selection of appropriate epitope an antibody pair, it is possible to discover a combination with various properties that is appropriate for the desired experimental methods known as blotting technique, immunoprecipitation, immunochemistry and purification affinity.
