Chloroplasts are plastid which contains pigment called chlorophylls. Due to the presence of chlorophylls, chloroplasts synthesize glucose in presence of sunlight with the help of carbon dioxide and water. Chlorophyll absorbs sunlight to form ATP and NADPH. With the help of ATP and NADPH chloroplast forms glucose using carbon dioxide and water.
