Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The new temperature in degree Celsius of sample of carbon dioxide gas is to be determined.

Concept Introduction:

Charles’s law gives a relation between the volume $\left(V\right)$ and temperature $\left(T\right)$ of the fixed amount of gas at constant pressure. The volume of the gas is directly proportional to the temperature of the gas at constant pressure.

$V\propto T$

When the volume of the gas increases the temperature of the gas also increases at constant pressure and vice-versa.
