Concept Introduction:
At constant volume, increase in the temperature of a gas leads to an increase in the kinetic energy of the gas particles.. The particles of gas collide with each other and to the wall of the container with much higher force than before. Hence the pressure exerted on the wall of the container also increases. The temperature is thus directly proportional to the pressure of the gas at constant volume.
