Introduction:

Momentum can be described as mass times the velocity of an object. It is a vector quantity.

When two bodies collide, the conservation of momentum takes place when total momentum before collision equal to total momentum after collision.

So,the problem can be like this “Armando, mass 60 kg is at the ice-skating rink and moving with a velocity 20 m/s collides with another person of mass 50 kg which is at rest.After collision they cling each other. Calculate the loss in kinetic energy during collision.”
