Intrinsically linear equation:
A non-linear equation that can be transformed to the linear equation with the application of suitable transformations for either the response variable or the predictor variable or for both the variables is said to be intrinsically linear.
In other words, it can be said that the non-linear equation, which allows straightening the scatter plot is known as intrinsically linear equation.
Here, the transformation has to done on the response variable x, or the predictor variable or the predictor variable y or both the variables to convert the non-linear equation into linear equation.
