Interpretation: IUPAC name.
Conceptual Introduction:
General Rules for writing the IUPAC name:
1) Identify the word-root in the given name and write the corresponding straight chain of the carbon
2) Number the carbon atom end to end.
3) Fill the multiple bonds with corresponding to suffix –ene or –yne at appropriate position.
4) Attach the functional group and the substituent as represented by secondary suffix and prefix in the name at appropriate position. Do not add any extra carbon for the carbon atom of the functional group.
5) Satisfy the remaining valency of the carbon atom with single H atom till the entire carbon valency are satisfied.
