Ketone: A compound that has carbonyl group bonded to two carbons in organic compounds in organic groups that can be the same (or) different, for example
Tollens reagent: This reagent treatment of an aldehyde with this reagent, in which the Ag+ ion is the oxidizing agent, rapidly yields the carboxylic acid anion and metallic silver.
Benedict’s reagent: This reagent was extensively used as a test for surges in the urine, which are primarily aldehyde and alpha hydroxyl ketones.
