Summary Introduction

The DNA replication takes place in a very active site termed as the replication fork. The DNA helicases unwind and create the replication fork. It is composed of leading and lagging strands and looks like a fork. It is formed within the nucleus. The two branching “prongs” of the replication fork is made of a single strand of DNA.
