Summary Introduction
Transcription process is basically the same in all living organisms. Synthesis of RNA is directed by the template strand. RNA is made by the enzyme RNA polymerase. A single RNA polymerase is used by the bacteria. This enzyme consists of catalytic core that synthesize mRNA and the intrinsic transcription factor subunit represented as sigma (σ).
