Lipids are
Steroids are types of lipids which consist of three 6-membered rings and one 5-membered ring. These rings together are called as steroid nucleus. Other polar and non-polar groups are bonded with these rings and are responsible for different physical and chemical properties of steroids. Cholesterol is one example of steroid.
