Introduction:
All cells are surrounded by a plasma membrane. The process used by plants (some bacteria and protists) to produce glucose by using sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water is known as photosynthesis. A process carried out in living organisms that involve the production of energy is called respiration. A nucleoid is found inside a prokaryotic cell. The thread-like structure that carries genetic information is a chromosome.
