Introduction:
Fertilization can be defined as the process in which the haploid gametes fuse to form a diploid zygote. The male gamete moves to the uterine tube where it fertilizes the ovum. The zygote, formed as a result, is then implanted in the endometrial lining where its growth and maturation occur.
