Concept introduction:

Fatty acids are aliphatic mono-carboxylic acids that are mostly obtained from the hydrolysis of natural fats and oils. They have a general formula $R-{\left(C{H}_2\right)}_n-COOH$, n is mostly an even number of carbon atoms (4 to 20) with a few exceptions that have an odd number.

Lipogenesis is the metabolic pathway by which fatty acids are synthesized from acetyl-CoA.

Adipose tissue protects, insulates and stores fat in droplets inside the cells.

It consists of cells (adipocytes) in a fluid-gel matrix.

It is found beneath the skin, around the kidneys, behind the eyes and on the heart.

Carbohydrate metabolism: It is a biochemical processes responsible for the formation, breakdown and interconversion of carbohydrates in living organism.

Glycolysis is a sequence of ten enzyme- catalyzed reactions by which glucose is converted into pyruvate.
