Introduction:
The female gonads are ovaries, which are present on the lateral walls of the pelvis. There are two basic functions of ovaries, the first one of which is the production of ova and the second one is the secretion of hormones. Ovaries secrete hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, inhibin, and relaxin.
