Introduction:

The uterine cycle is also called the menstrual cycle and it lasts for 28 days. It is a series of cyclical changes in the uterine endometrium that are due to the fluctuations in hormones from the hypothalamus, pituitary, and ovaries. The three phases of the uterine cycle are the menstrual phase, the proliferative phase, and the secretory phase.
